I know my cousin was told each time could increase the risks. Have you thought about a sperm donor or egg donor to take away from one parent having it or adopting. My cousin went for adopting she was just to afraid of the chances.
I know this isn’t for some people and I don’t know your situation financially, but you can have a “test tube” baby. They match your eggs with your man’s sperm and see if there are any without cf. They can implant the embryo into your uterus and you will know for sure that this baby won’t have it.
Hope I helped!
Like I said, it’s not for everyone though, but if you’re really worried and don’t want to adopt or anything…
If you are both carriers, then each pregnancy has a 1/4 chance of having CF, a 2/4 chance or being a carrier, and a 1/4 chance of being completely normal… These odds do not increase, or decrease with each pregnancy… It’s just how genetics work.
Maybe adoption is a good choice, there are plenty of children out there that could use a stable, loving home. Genetic selection if you have the money for it. Or just welcome another child and know that you do have a step up on managing it because of your experience with your son.
Glad to hear that your son is doing well with it.
I’m a 24 y/o F with CF, and I live a very productive life, with very little limitations, but am very compliant with my meds. Best of luck to you.
Dear sister, I cannot give you a proper answer, but I wish the very best to you and your husband and may Jehovah bless you! Agape.
