My 4 year old daughter has CF and, we’ve asked her CF doctor the very same question. His response was that there is no data to prove that one climate is better than the other. He did state that being seen regularly at a CFF accredited care center that posts positive results is the most important thing you can do. You can find CFF accredited care centers at the following link:
I have noticed I tend to be healthier in drier climates. I am 25 with CF and grew up in California and was pretty healthy along with staying active in swimming I did really well. I also lived in Alaska and my health wasn’t AS great but still pretty good. I didn’t swim in Alaska either so the lack of activity probably played a part in the not so healthy. However since we moved to Arkansas my health has ****** big time. So I have to say the less humidity the better. Thats just for me though. I dunno about anyone else. Also like the one above me stated. Have her seen at CFF accredited clinics. And keep her active in some type of semi strenuous sport. swimming, biking, baseball. SOMETHING as a workout for the lung
no, it is what it is. asthmatics do better in dry climates
