Can the Sex of My Baby Be Determined From a Cystic Fibrosis Carrier Blood Test?
A question from John George: Can the sex of my baby be determined from a cystic fibrosis carrier blood test?
I’m 9 weeks pregnant and gave blood for this test today. My mother-in-laws says they can tell the sex of the baby from this test.

No, they would only be able to test your white blood cells and look at your DNA. They can tell your gender, but I’m pretty sure they know that already
You baby is making it’s own DNA in it’s cells in your womb. You need a 5 month ultrasound or sample from your womb.
