Cystic fibrosis is the most common lethal genetic disease in America. If an unaffected man whose mother had cystic fibrosis marries an unaffected woman whose father had cystic fibrosis, what is the probability that their children will have cystic fibrosis?

From the information, you know that both parents are heterozygous for the trait. Cystic fibrosis is a recessive disorder so if you cross two together, you would get a probably of 1 who is homozygous normal, two heterozygous, and one homozygous for cystic fibrosis. So the answer is 25%.
