I want to become an egg donor, but I am a carrier of the Cystic Fibrosis gene will that make it so I can’t be an egg donor? No one in my family has ever had it, so I was just wondering if just being a carrier of the gene would make it so I could not.
If you answer this please KNOW the answer, don’t just guess.
My daughter will be two weeks old tomorrow. We got a call from the pediatrician today that her newborn screening tests came back and she needs to go having further screening to test for cystic fibrosis. Did anyone have to do this and have the tests come back negative that they don’t have it? Neither me or my husband have a family history of CF, so this was a surprise. I’m very worried and hoping it’s a false alarm.
Does anyone have a child with CF? What symptoms did they have as a newborn?
I did read about CF online, but am curious about what other people have experienced with their babies.
Thanks for any information you have.

I have Cystic Fibrosis, one of the affects of it is I have a hard time absorbing enough nutrients in foods and have a difficult time keeping on enough weight. I was wondering if its possible at all to be a vegan with my disease and if so what kinds of foods would have the highest amount of calories and nutrients that I could eat. My mother thought I was crazy for bringing it up and said absolutely not, but is it possible? I’m nearly 16.
